Two Natural Fibres. One Exceptionally Soft Substrate.
Biodegradable Nonwovens for Skin-Contact and Hygiene Applications.
A soft, absorbent, and biodegradable cellulose-based blend combining viscose’s skin-friendly feel with pulp’s strong liquid retention.
Viscose + Pulp spunlace brings together two cellulose-derived fibres to create a soft, breathable, and highly absorbent substrate with a natural feel. Viscose provides a smooth, drape-friendly surface suited to skin-contact applications, while pulp enhances absorbency and bulk. Manufactured using Elixrr’s PentaTech™ hydroentanglement technology, the blend is well suited for personal care, baby wipes, feminine hygiene, and medical applications where comfort, performance, and end-of-life considerations are important.
Why Elixrr?
Naturally Soft, From Fibre to Finish
Both viscose and pulp are derived from plant cellulose. That gives the nonwoven fabric a superior hand-feel. The surface is smooth and gentle, suitable for direct skin contact in baby wipes, facial care, and feminine hygiene products. No synthetic fibres means no compromise on the touch-feel quality that end consumers demand.
Absorbency That Earns Its Place
Pulp is among the most efficient liquid absorbers in nonwoven manufacturing. In this blend, pulp works alongside viscose to deliver fast pick-up and strong retention in uses such as dry, pre-wetted, or loaded with a lotion or active formulation. The blend handles liquid well without losing structural integrity in use.
PentaTech™ Without Binders or Chemicals
Hydroentanglement is the only bonding method that produces a cohesive nonwoven from cellulose fibres without chemical binders or thermal adhesives. Elixrr's PentaTech™ process bonds viscose and pulp fibres using high-pressure water jets, keeping the substrate chemical-free and preserving the natural softness of both fibres.
Fully Cellulose, Fully Responsible
With no synthetic content, this is one of Elixrr's most biodegradable blend options. Both fibres are plant-derived and break down naturally under the right conditions. It is an advantage for brands responding to plastic-reduction legislation and growing consumer awareness around wipe disposal. Elixrr's cellulose raw materials are sourced under FSC® and PEFC™ certification, with manufacturing governed by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
The Viscose + Pulp nonwoven spunlace is a key material in these Elixrr product families.
